Jorge Federico Lee is a founding partner of Alcogal and a highly respected leader in litigation, arbitration, and labor law. With more than 40 years of legal experience, he combines a strong academic background with a distinguished career across both the private and public sectors.

He graduated summa cum laude with a Law and Political Science degree from the University of Panama in 1976 and served as a professor of Procedural Law and Evidence at the same institution for over 30 years, contributing significantly to the education of generations of legal professionals.

In the public sector, he has held several high-ranking positions, including Justice of the Supreme Court of Panama, Alternate Justice, Minister of Labor and Social Security, Director General of the Colón Free Zone, and Vice Minister of Government and Justice. He also served as President of the Interoceanic Region Authority, further demonstrating his leadership in key national institutions.

Mr. Lee is currently a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), reflecting his active involvement in the global arbitration community.

His career has been recognized by leading international legal publications such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and Leaders League. His leadership, experience, and contributions to the legal profession position him as one of the most influential legal figures in Panama.
