Alcogal represents Celsia and CTC Curazao

The banking, finance and capital markets team at Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee recently represented Celsia S.A. E.S.P. as guarantor and CTC CURAZAO.

B.V. as borrower in a US$200 million credit agreement with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Banco Santander S.A. and Banco Santander de Negocios Colombia S.A. as initial lenders, for the purpose of financing the acquisition by Celsia of a majority interest in, among others, Bahia Las Minas Corp. and Enerwinds de Costa Rica S.A.

Alcogal’s team for this financing deal, which closed in December 2014, was led by partner Eloy Alfaro, who was assisted by international associate Rita de la Guardia. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates acted as U.S. counsel to Celsia in this transaction.
