Alejandro Ferrer is a partner at Alcogal in Panama City with extensive experience in antitrust, arbitration, corporate and M&A, energy and natural resources, litigation, and project development. He has been with the firm since 1998 and is widely respected for his deep technical knowledge and practical approach to complex legal challenges. Alejandro holds a Doctor of the Science of Law (S.J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Michigan, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and earned his Bachelor of Law and Political Sciences summa cum laude from Universidad Santa María la Antigua.

Before joining Alcogal, Alejandro served in prominent public roles, including as Panama’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Commerce and Industry, as well as in senior diplomatic and judicial positions.
