Alcogal congratulates our partner, Jorge Federico Lee, who was elected president of the Pan American Institute of Procedural Law, at its general assembly held on August 8, 2019, on the eve of the XXIX Pan American Congress of Procedural Law held in Panama City.
Mr. Lee is the first Panamanian and Central American to be named President of this prestigious academic institution, which brings together the most prominent jurists and professors of procedural law in Latin America in order to promote the development and dissemination of procedural science.
The Pan American Institute of Procedural Law was founded in Mexico City in 1976, at the request of the great masters of Latin American procedural law, among them, Jorge Fábrega Ponce, from Panama. Its first president was the treatise writer, Humberto Briseño Sierra, from Mexico.
