With more than 30 years of experience, he advises both local and international clients on the structuring, administration, and governance of trusts, private foundations, and complex corporate vehicles, providing tailored solutions for wealth preservation and succession planning.

He has extensive experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families, assisting in the design of family governance structures, family office frameworks, and cross-border strategies aimed at ensuring the orderly transfer of wealth across generations. His work includes advising on complex international structures and corporate reorganizations.

Raúl is an active member of the National Bar Association of Panama and has played a significant role in the international legal community. He served for over twenty years on the board of the International Bar Association and was President of the Panamanian chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) from 2019 to 2021, promoting best practices in estate planning and international compliance.
He has participated in numerous international conferences and training programs on governance, family offices, and family protocols, further strengthening his expertise in wealth management and succession planning.

Among the matters in which he has acted as lead counsel are advising a high-net-worth European family in the food industry, restructuring the corporate structure of a bank with operations in Panama and abroad, advising Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) on corporate matters related to its Panamanian entities, and assisting families in defining cross-border wealth strategies and governance structures to preserve and transfer family assets.
