Alcogal Transaction Recognized at LatinFinance 2021 “Deals of the Year Awards”

LatinFinance celebrated on February 7 the “2021 Deals of the Year Awards,” where the Fourth Tocumen Airport Bond Offering transaction was recognized as Quasi-Sovereign Bond of the Year.” This was the largest transaction to have traded through the Latin American Stock Exchange (Latinex), except for transactions by the sovereign.

LatinFinance’s Deals of the Year Awards are the “landmark recognition of stand-out transactions and institutions in the capital markets of Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Alcogal advised BofA Securities, Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., and Banco General, S.A., as initial purchasers in connection with a 144A/Reg S secured bond offering of Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen, S.A. (AITSA) for US$1.85 billion, as well as counsel to the dealer managers in connection with a liability management operation of the existing bonds issued by Tocumen.

Congratulations to our partners, Arturo Gerbaud, Rita de la Guardia, Rafael Marquinez, for this recognition and for their impressive teamwork in this high-profile case.
