Alcogal advised Renewable Energy Systems, Ltd. (RES), the world’s largest independent renewable energy provider, on the strategic acquisition of the renewable services division of Grupo Ingeteam.
This transaction, which spanned jurisdictions in Panama, Spain, Brazil and Mexico, positions RES as the leading global provider of renewable energy services, consolidating more than EUR 35 billion in assets under management. Grupo Ingeteam will continue specializing in advanced technology for renewable energy and electrification solutions.
The transaction, which closed in Partner Rafael Marquínez led February 2024 with the support of associate Diego Anguizola. With this acquisition, RES seeks to strengthen its operational capacity and expand its global footprint in maintaining and optimizing clean energy projects. Meanwhile, Grupo Ingeteam plans to enhance its leadership in developing cutting-edge technology for electrical systems and renewable energies.
